"Enhanced privacy and security on passive tags"

The presentation starts with an overview on the Privacy and Security issues with standard passive tags in general. By viewing the passive tag as a computer, which turn the product into an intelligent product, instead of just an intelligent barcode, RFIDsec has developed a new generation of smart tags which include features to address all the known security and privacy issues.

The presentation will introduce RFIDsec's technology and provide examples of actual cases where the technology is providing enhanced security and/or privacy. The technology is based upon a new secure protocol which is used for communication between the reading application and the chip in the tag. The presentation introduces next generation passive RFID, which is far beyond traditional Auto ID.
