Electronic Passport Forum

28-29 November - Room AlfaTau

The issuing of machine-readable travel documents is taking place in three distinct waves: first ePassports, then National IDs and finally Visas.

Will the introduction of electronic travel documents worldwide pave the way towards the much broader market penetration of RFID and biometric technology in the areas of eGovernment projects?

What will the next waves be in the area of government-driven citizen ID programs?

Scope:

This conference focuses on all the issues faced by local and central government bodies when managing citizens’ security and access to public services.

Sessions:

Border control and ePassports: open issues
The second wave: National ID projects
Toward complete security: eVisa, residence permit and green-card projects
RFID and Biometrics for eGovernment
