Chris Onyemenam is the pioneer Director General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Nigeria, the institutional framework driving Nigeria’s effort at implanting a scalable and assured identity management systems infrastructure to meet the needs of contemporary Nigerian society.
Mr. Onyemenam is a lawyer, seasoned administrator and a professional manager with over 25 years post qualification experience spanning over Banking, Academics, Financial Training Institutions, Manufacturing and Consulting Industries. Until his calling to the public service, he was the Chief Economic Strategist and Head of Research, Economic Intelligence and Franchise Enhancement Group at Zenith Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s IT savvy new generation banks. He was pioneer Executive Secretary and later Director Operations and Administration, at the high profile private sector funded economic policy think tank and advocacy group, the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG). Over the years, Chris has acquired extensive experience in business and public policy articulation and implementation at very senior management level.
Mr. Onyemenam holds a B.Sc. (First Class Honours) and M.Sc. degrees both in Sociology from the prestigious University of Lagos.
