Dirk Palder has 20 years of consulting experience, with expertise in managing large complex transformation projects, implementation of new processes and organizations. In 1997 he has been promoted to Vice President and “Head of Postal Services and Physical Distribution” in Central Europe. Remaining as senior postal and logistics expert throughout the last decade and as one of the key experts he has in-depth expertise in designing and implementing new production systems for postal organizations and identifying the strategic impact of the new technologies on the postal and logistics market. Dirk is focusing on innovation management for postal, new product development and introduction, strategic project-portfolio management, large business transformation based and IT technology.

Optimizing the future through innovation and commercialization

After finishing the first global Postal Innovation Study, we learned that the management of the innovation process and the commercialization are key issues to optimize for the future. As a concrete demonstration which method could help to solve fast Innovation development. Based the Capgemini experience in other industries we will demonstrate RAIN = Rapid Innovation Process as a solution for faster product launches. In RAIN process Capgemini is working together with 400 to 500 start ups Companies majorly from California but also France, Asia. Introducing this highly innovative companies by issue with traditional multi nationals or postal operators makes the difference and the collaborative approach. Finally we will show why BIM Business Model Innovation will force a change of the culture from MAKE to COLLABERATE.
