“MOBILE DEVICE SECURITY AND PRIVACY – PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL ENTERPRISE MOBILE DEVICE DEVICE DEPLOYMENT”

Corporations and organizations of all sizes are deploying a wide range of mobile devices including laptop computers, tablet computers and smart phones. Some organizations are also now allowing personally owned devices to connect to their data networks. These devices contribute to increased mobility and efficiency for employees, but also pose significant risks related to data security and privacy. New applications and uses for the devices have also changed the way that risk is viewed from both the organization’s and employee’s perspective. This presentation will examine some of the top threats associated with mobile devices and some recommended ways to reduce risk through a comprehensive deployment plan across all phases of the device’s useful life.
