K.K. Mittal is a technocrat who opted for the Indian Revenue Service due to its potential to transform the lives of people by generating funds through efficient revenue mobilization and by optimum use of resources.
Since joining the Indian Revenue Service in 1994, he has worked at different levels of federal government of India.
He is specially interested in challenges of tax administration in the global village. He believes that the solution to the problems of global taxation can be found by keeping the technology and international cooperation in the same frame.
He is keen to use ICT platform to create mechanisms for tracking and monitoring the flow of money, with emphasis on real time solutions that should form basis for the legal framework for international cooperation.
