Nitzan Tal

Regional Marketing Manager Europe – VeriFone

Mr. Tal has been with VeriFone since 2007, serving as Product Marketing Manager for the regional marketing team in Asia. In 2009, Mr. Tal was promoted to Director of Marketing for Continental Europe and Southeastern Europe regions, where is responsible for driving and executing strategic product planning and product roadmaps, market analysis, product lifecycle management, and marketing activities and programs solution development.

Mr. Tal brings more than 7 years experience in marketing and business development positions in such industries as electronic payments, semiconductors and wireless transmission.

He holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance, and a BA in Business Administration and Middle East History, from Tel Aviv University in Israel.

“Turning the smart phone to a portable point-of-sale”

The mobile payments area is growing significantly following the sharp increase in mobile phones, which in some countries exceed the number of bank accounts. Mobile payments are offered today in different forms, from near field communications (NFC), to accepting cards using phones by a adding a card reader or a payment application, or by turning the phone to a platform to convey payments by SMS, e-wallet or other means.
