Sustainability

Industries in all sectors have some level of sustainability policy, often governed by economic factors. The electronics industry, for example, represented 1,140 billion Euros in 2009 and is today comparable in size to other important industrial branches such as the automotive industry (1,800 billion Euros).

What will drive industries, such as electronics manufacturing, in the direction of eco-friendly measures, so they can reduce their energy bill for the sake of their own competitiveness and for the sake of the planet. Can a Cost-driven Industry go Green? Focus on an industry at the heart of the innovation engine. How can more efficient supply chain management benefit the environment? What other actions should be taken to reduce waste and pollution?
